I was born and raised in Kitchener ON and moved to Vancouver, BC in 2016 to attend Vancouver Film School. Armed with a degree in beauty and prosthetic makeup for the big screen, I thought my destiny was sealed with brushes, fake blood and 4am start times in a movie trailer. But life had other plans. A one time hair styling class led me to later attend hair design school, which revealed my true passion, and no, it wasn't in the realm of cuts and colours.

 

My love for hairstyling flourished overtime working with several different mobile bridal business. As requests and inquiries flooded in for hair, I realized it was time to embrace this journey of providing hair services for brides. I've worked in the bridal industry since 2019 and have serviced over 150+ brides since the opening of Alyssa Doucet Artistry in 2021.

I'm on a mission to provide hairstyles that withstand dance-offs, tear-jerking vows, and maybe even a surprise crowd surf. With dedication, passion, and a touch of hairspray magic, I'm here to make sure your hair looks fabulous all night long.
